General Image Specs

Image Names

• Images are uploaded into the system on a 1:1 match with VPN-Supplier Color Name format. Any files named outside the requested format risk rejection or incorrect upload.
  • If multiple images are being submitted for the same style, please label with a number sequence suffix

Image Quality

• Images should arrive with post-production completed. The Vendor Assets team does not retouch vendor images and cannot fix blemishes on the model, dirty backgrounds, etc.
• Provide images that do not include logos, text or watermarks.
• Images provided must be photographs- no CAD renderings or illustrations can be used for sell shots.
• Images meeting technical specifications may still be rejected for poor quality photography, styling, retouching, color overlay, or other aesthetic reasons. 
• For apparel or items typically shot on-figure, a flat product shot must be provided in addition to on-figure imagery to be eligible to participate in the "Your Look" program

Usage Rights

• The vendor is responsible for notifying the Vendor Assets team of ANY usage restrictions on submitted imagery. 
• Licensing acquired for "Supplier Content" in the PO (purchase order) Terms & Conditions, signed by each Brand when Nordstrom purchases their product for retail sales. "Seller hereby grants to Purchaser and its affiliates a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and royalty-free right and license to publish, use, reproduce, distribute, transmit, display, modify, edit and create derivative works based on Seller's name, trademarks, trade names, brand names, trade dress, copyrights, and other proprietary rights (including all product images, product descriptions, and all other information, materials, and content) (collectively, "Supplier Content") in connection with the marketing, promoting, and selling Seller's merchandise across any and all channels and forms of media. Except for the license granted herein, Seller reserves all right, title, and interest in and to the Supplier Content. All use of the Supplier Content and any goodwill accruing from such use will inure solely to the benefit of Seller. Seller represents and warrants that it has all rights necessary to grant the licenses in this Section.

Timeline

• Assets (images and samples) must be available and ready to provide 20 days prior to the item's ship date.
• To avoid publishing delays, Nordstrom's studio teams will proceed with shooting imagery if vendor images have not been provided by the time inventory has arrived.
